THE CHALLENGE: The PGA’s Mitsubishi Electric Classic Tour Director approached us as they were unhappy with their current marketing and PR strategy. They felt they needed to shake things up to reenergize fans. On a parallel path, the Gwinnett Sports Commission wanted us to produce a video to help win more professional, high-profile sporting events like MEC.
THE SOLUTION: To start, we created a dynamic video with 62 seconds jammed full of Gwinnett County sports from youth to professional. Then, we took this same energy into strategizing the MEC’s approach to marketing professional sports in the area. This included a new website, social media, fresh content, PR outreach and on-site event help tournament weekend.
THE RESULT: Our social plan resulted in a 45% increase in reach, 20% increase in impressions and a 15% increase in engagement. We were also featured by the PGA for our unique social content.
